Dane Marinkovic
printed on Giclée Hahnemühle Pearl
This is one of a series of photographs inspired by rockabilly 1950's tattoos. The images are created as set pieces / sculptures then photographed and enhanced digitally. They celebrate the spirit of rebellion and youthful existence in defiance of the progression of time. With gritty detail, graphic illustrative style and heavy shadows, they are both foreboding and life affirming. The thing that makes us value life is knowing that one day it will come to an end. Prints are one of a limited edition print run of 100 (50 x A2 & 50 x A1) across all variations.
A2 or A1 Giclée prints created using the very latest technology and printed onto Hahnemüle Pearl. This 285gsm paper has a smooth orange peel texture and a bright neutral white base, it creates really deep blacks and offers vibrant colour reproduction and great detail too. The paper is resin coated with a fibrous feel. The satin finish of the resin coating gives depth to the image which combined with the texture and vibrant colour reproduction give the image the feel of an oil painting.
